What is needed is weekly US Constitution study.

Thank you. Jonathan. While reading this, I had an epiphany... God created the world, all the plants and animals, then people in his likeness to enjoy this paradise. As part of his plan, he made some people as fucking asshats who would wreak havoc, kill others, cheat & steal and cause wars, etc. as a way to test the good ones. God knew that eventually the dickheads would triumph and then He would destroy everything and just take the good ones to live with Him in Heaven.

It all makes perfect fucking sense now.

God's plan sure is mysterious!

i’ve never understood why christians keep accusing jews of killing jesus as if it were a bad thing. here’s why: without the resurrection, there is no christianity, right? jesus had to die one way or another in order to be resurrected. so the only appropriate response to the jews-killed-jesus accusation is: you’re welcome.

It's almost like they didn't believe in their own bullshit!

Sorry. I think this comment is going to veer way off topic from Jesus, but I am never amazed when I find out that ALL the women you mention from these bible groups (who believe women should be at home working) are active beside their husbands in the PACs, running the organizations, in congress, run think tanks, co-founded ministries.

Since we’re talking Mullin, Christie has numerous businesses, does do youth sports stuff but is the chair of the America First Policy Institute with Brooke Rollins, all of them.

It’s logistically, fiscally impossible to do kids and anything else without (immigrant) help.

I always want to know who’s at home with Katie and Stephen’s kids? Karoline Leavett’s kid? Either all the kids and houses are feral garbage pits or the immigrants taking care of their lives are basically slaves in fear of deportation.

Another fabulous example of the founding fathers’ wisdom in insisting on the separation of church and state. Explicitly insisting, for all the non readers in the audience.

Religion as a bludgeon.

Um, according to the Gospels (whatever that's worth), some Jews did demand that Pilate kill Jesus. That is not anti-semitic--it is simply reflecting what is said in a text that may or may not be historical. It is not racist against a whole people, anymore than it is racist against Germans to say that a faction of Germans tried to carry out genocide against Jews. It is also not anti-semitic to report that many fundamentalist rabbis say that Jesus is being boiled in burning feces in hell. That is a fact--they are on record (and video) saying it. What is the purpose of your report? It seems to be that a Trump appointee is anti-semitic. In so reporting you are being as bad as the Trump administration itself is for labeling any criticism of Israel as anti-semitic. It is not anti-semitic to criticize modern Israel, nor is it anti-semitic to say that some Jews in the 1st century "killed Jesus" by demanding that the Roman authorities crucify him. This is a really disappointing and childish take.

Hi Linda, the Bible study in question teaches that all Jews are responsible for killing Jesus. Sorry I didn't make that clearer.

To be fair, you kinda did tho (sic 🤪)... to some more than others I guess 🫠

At least that's how I saw it, but different eyes see things... differently 👀

To make a long story short.

The Jews wanted Jesus arrested because they claimed he was a threat to their authority in the region.

But the actual death by crucifixion was caused by the Romans, particularly Pontiou Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea.

Remember that a Bible started out by word of mouth then written down.

The books of the Bible were written over hundreds of years in various locations around the Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East. Most of the Old Testament was written in Hebrew (with a few passages in Aramaic) centuries before the birth of Jesus, while the latest books in the New Testament were written in Greek decades after his death and resurrection.

Words in one language seldom have exact matches in other languages. There are often shades of meaning lost in translation — all the more so when separated by thousands of years.

In light of our politics of today, I feel it is ridiculous to argue who did what and place blame on one side or the other as there isn't a single person alive today that had witnessed the actual acts and can attest to what happened in the distant past.

I would rather concentrate on today's problems and try to solve them rather than go to war over something in the distant past. Everyone has the right to their own beliefs or non-beliefs

I get through my difficuult days by remembering to walk by faith, not by sight as I believe in God's promises, which can be found in 2 Corinthians 5:7

The phrase "I walk in faith" is often associated with the Bible verse 2 Corinthians 5:7, which states, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." This verse emphasizes the importance of trusting in God and His promises, even when circumstances seem uncertain or difficult. It encourages believers to rely on God's guidance and strength, living a life that reflects faith in His faithfulness.

Peace 🕊

I used to walk by faith. Then I realized god gave me eyes for a reason, so I opened them. Turned out to be a wise decision.

I simply do not understand how this SHITE enters the national conversation about US foreign policy...what in god's name have I missed?

We don't need any of this anti-1st Amendment proselytizing around here. Cults don't get to demand that we dismantle our Constitution because they get a sad when other people don't like their cult.

Nice to know that goofball keeps the cookies on the lower shelf. We'll see how convincing his flockers are once they're all obese & toothless.

I mean, so many of them already ARE, but one of their goals is uniformity, so...

JFC. The Romans killed the "messiah". So, I guess Western "civilization" is to blame, right?

“when the Jews rejected their Messiah, God put them on a side track.”

And damned if they haven't paid the piper ever since. The world's religions by adherents (in billions):

Christianity: 2.3 billion

Muslim: 2.0

Unaffiliated: 1.9

Hindu: 1.2

Buddhist: 0.3

All Others: 0.2

Jewish: 0.01

"The number of Muslims increased by 347 million – more than all other religions combined."

https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2025/06/09/how-the-global-religious-landscape-changed-from-2010-to-2020/ [including the breakdown]

To add insult to injury, one stat the poll notes is that in terms of percentage of the global population Islam had the most number of converts while Christianity had the largest number go apostate.

(If you're a charts and stats geek like me, Pew has broken the numbers down into a bunch of charts.)

One more thing:

"After Israel began last year’s assault on Iran — and lobbied Trump [sic] to deploy the U.S. military — Drollinger revived the Israel study guide again, pushing the cabinet, Senate, and House to support Israel. Trump [sic] did, bombing nuclear targets."

The good preacher (bless his heart) had an insider, with considerable clout, whispering sweet nothings into the ear of "The Man Who Would Be King" to push the idea: SecDef [sic] Kegbreath. When the Butterscotch Buffoon stars as Major T.J. "King" Kong Kegbreath will gladly sit behind

him on the way down.
