New York voters have been asleep at the wheel on Gillibrand. We are no longer. She has skated to reelection every six years. No longer. Watch for a robust primary against her. (Unfortunately that’s about 5 years out.)

Gillebrand is a collaborator and always has been. Think back to the things she's been spotted doing...go back to her calling for al frankens resignation from the Senate giving the GOP an instant majority. She's been GOP in drag the whole time, dog whistled Mamdani and refused to endorse him, was heard behind closed doors with Dems during the debate over first shutdown op in 2025 bullying her colleagues and Schumer out of shutting down to stop the big beautiful bill. She is my #1 kill her career list, someone needs to get her to resign, primary isn't good enough. This is why people are so unhappy with dem party, the NY contingent is totally collaborating to sell out NY environment, farmers, businesses and the people here don't even understand the problem well enough, buffalo gvmt captured by GOP through the former corrupt mayor. It's like a dumpster fire here politically, don't trust NY leadership. Mamdani is the face of the progressive wing here who are fighting a huge machine dem contingent. NY Dems are why Dems lost the house majority.

I’ve been disgusted with her since she led the charge to force Al Franken to resign.

If someone other than Chick Shumer was running the caucus at the time, that person would have told Al to disappear for two weeks, and told Gillibrand to STFU. Who would have thought the Dems would miss Harry Reid so quickly.

Senator Gillibrand is not intelligent and supports only herself.

Gaylor - “Her participation in the breakfast is equally disappointing and bewildering. She presents herself as a strong supporter of women’s and LGBTQ rights, the separation of state and church and other democratic ideals. Yet the senator’s choice to give cover and credibility to the Fellowship Foundation as co-chair of a Christian nationalist event undermines all of that work.”

I feel the same about Gillibrand and am dismayed to learn her term won't be up until 2031.

Her not responding to questions is not a good look at all.

What is she gaining from her participation? That is the question we have to answer.

You can ask her but she'll never reply.

Gillibrand is a hypocrite and will never be forgiven for trashing Franken..

Average Joe's avatar

Do you mean Franken? She was 100% behind pushing Weathervane Chicken Chuck to remove Al from the Senate, not because of the photo but because he was in her way.

I agree with Rep. Huffman and am proud to have him represent me in congress.

As a former New York state resident for 61 years, I now reside in Pennsylvania, I initially liked Gillibrand and voted for her because there wasn't another choice. If I'm not mistaken, she was considered a conservative democrat prior to her appointment as a Senator. She became more liberal as time passed, but there was always things that bugged me about her. I am a former Catholic who has abandoned the Catholic Church due to my MAGA parents, brother and other family members extreme hypocrisy. I did attend some church oriented men's prayer breakfasts with my father and brother in my last years in New York. They weren't openly political events but I stopped going due the rampant hypocrisy. I can only imagine the level of hypocrisy and danger of a national prayer breakfast.

I no longer consider myself religious in any way.
